His son Charles opened a funeral business and furniture store in Canton in 1900. Charles's son, Charles (Bud) Paquelet, moved to Massillon and started his own funeral home in 1929. After Bud passed away in 1966, his son Joe took over the original location on Federal Avenue, later moving it to 320 Federal. In 1984, Joe expanded by acquiring the former Hug-Angelo-Savage funeral home in Navarre, renaming it Paquelet Funeral Home.
