Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home

Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, located at 1100 Wales Road NE in Massillon, Ohio, is a distinguished funeral service provider with a rich heritage dating back to 1867. The business traces its origins to Stephen Paquelet, a cabinet and coffin maker who emigrated from France to the United States and settled in Louisville, Ohio. His son Charles Paquelet expanded the family trade by opening a funeral business and furniture store in Canton in 1900. The legacy continued with Charles' son, Charles (Bud) Paquelet, who established his own funeral home in Massillon in 1929. Bud's son, Joe Paquelet, eventually took over the funeral home at 219 Federal Street, later moving it to 320 Federal Street. In 1984, Joe acquired the former Hug-Angelo-Savage Funeral Home in Navarre, renaming it Paquelet Funeral Home. In 2003, the Massillon location was relocated to a newly built, state-of-the-art facility at 1100 Wales Road, which it shares with its longtime partner, Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. The partnership between Paquelet and Arnold-Lynch began in 1991, when Joe and Charlene Paquelet joined forces with Wayne Arnold (1918–2008) and Bob Wilbarger (1933–2009) of Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, sharing automobiles and staff. With the opening of the new facility, the two homes now operate under one roof with a unified commitment to providing exceptional care to families in the Massillon area and surrounding communities.
