About
Beaty Funeral Home, Inc. has been a cornerstone of compassionate care in Winnsboro, Texas, for over seven decades. Rooted in a rich family tradition, the funeral home traces its origins to the early 1900s when a family friend, Ray Edwards, owned the McCary-Edwards-Cain Funeral Home. Roger and Don Beaty were raised in this atmosphere of service, learning firsthand the importance of dignity and respect. After attending the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science and becoming licensed funeral directors in the 1970s, the brothers realized their lifelong dream in 1989 by purchasing the very funeral home where they had grown up. Renamed Beaty Funeral Home, the business quickly expanded, acquiring a location in Mineola in 1991 and dedicating a facility in Hawkins in 1995. A new, purpose-built building at 816 West Broadway in Winnsboro was completed that same year to better serve the community. In 2001, following the passing of Roger Beaty, leadership transitioned to the next generation. Today, Don's son, Paul Beaty, serves as Managing Director, continuing the family's legacy of heartfelt service.
Beaty Funeral Home is more than a place of business; it is a sanctuary where every family is treated like their own. The staff understands that trust and relationships come first, and they work closely with families to create personalized, memorable tributes that honor each unique life. The home offers a full range of services, including traditional funerals, cremation services, veteran services, pet funeral services, and preplanning options. As a family-owned and operated home, they are small enough to provide a warm, intimate atmosphere yet experienced enough to handle all aspects of funeral planning with professionalism. The facility is wheelchair accessible with on-site parking, and they offer prepayment plans to ease future burdens.
Beyond the funeral home, the Beaty family owns and operates Roselawn Memorial Gardens, a perpetual care cemetery in Mineola. The staff is deeply involved in local civic organizations, including the Winnsboro Autumn Trails Association, chambers of commerce, and Kiwanis and Lions Clubs. With a 4.8-star rating from 42 reviews on Google, Beaty Funeral Home has earned the trust of the community through genuine Texas warmth and unwavering dedication. Their website provides obituary alerts, grief resources, and information on personalization options, ensuring families have support both during and after their time of need. At Beaty Funeral Home, every story matters, and every life is celebrated with dignity.
