In 2001, the facility was acquired by Claybar Funeral Home and integrated into what would become the largest family-owned network of funeral homes and cemeteries in Southeast Texas. A significant milestone occurred in 2010 when a new crematory was constructed on the beautiful, serene grounds of Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange County. Then, in 2022, the newly expanded Haven of Rest Cremation Center began serving an even wider area, guided by a dedicated Cremation Code of Ethics.
