The business later became the Askew Funeral Home, and in 1986, it was incorporated as Askew-Houser Funeral Home, Inc. John Wayne Askew took over from his father in 1954 and was instrumental in founding the Askew Ambulance Service, the forerunner of today’s Ebensburg Ambulance Association.
