Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. is a family-owned and operated funeral home serving the Hellertown, Pennsylvania community and surrounding Lehigh Valley area since 1897. Located at 326 Main Street, Hellertown, PA 18055, the funeral home has a rich history that reflects its deep-rooted commitment to compassionate care and personalized service. Initially founded by Pliny A. Bergstresser, the business combined funeral services with cabinet making and furniture sales. In 1942, Clarence W. Templeton purchased the funeral home, operating it as Templeton Funeral Home for 42 years until his retirement. Recognizing the importance of finding a worthy successor, Templeton sought a family with a legacy of funeral service. The Heintzelman family, who had owned and operated a funeral home in Schnecksville since 1938, acquired the business in 1984. David J. Heintzelman was named supervisor, and the name changed to Templeton-Heintzelman Funeral Home. In 1986, it became Heintzelman Funeral Home, and in 1993, the two locations (Hellertown and Schnecksville) were incorporated as Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc.
