Founded in 1910 by Winfield E. Pegg, Pegg, Paxson & Springer Funeral Chapel has served the Beaverton, Oregon community for over a century. Originally located on the corner of Angel Road and Farmington Road, the funeral home moved to its present location at 2nd and Watson Avenue (now 4675 SW Watson Ave) in the mid-1940s. Following Winfield Pegg's passing in 1950, his daughter Hazel Paxson took over operations, and later her son Elwin Paxson became involved. In the 1960s, Jim Springer became the owner, and the name was changed to Pegg, Paxson & Springer Funeral Chapel. Today, it is proud to be a member of the Dignity Memorial network of funeral, cremation, and cemetery service providers, offering families the compassionate care of a locally operated establishment combined with the resources of one of the largest and most trusted networks in North America.
