In 1934, Craven bought and remodeled the old Whitney family home at the current Main Street address, establishing a dedicated space for dignified funeral services. The business remained in the Craven family for decades; Dale's son, Max, took over after returning from World War II and remodeled the facility in 1964. Max was joined by his son Gary in 1974. In 1985, the Craven family sold the funeral home to the Snyder family, who had been operating their own funeral home on South Main Street since 1962.
