Floyd's legacy continues to inspire the business, which remains independently owned and operated by his sister, Elaine Valdez, who now serves as the owner. Elaine earned her Mortuary Science Degree and passed her national boards in 2012, and she is licensed in both New Mexico and Arizona. As a member of the Navajo Nation, she is celebrated as the first Dine female licensed funeral director, proudly representing the Todich'ii'nii (Bitter Water Clan) and Kinyaa'ẚanii (Towering House Clan) with her heritage deeply rooted in the community she serves.
