A graduate of Advance High School and the St. Louis College of Mortuary Science (1947), Big Bill also served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II, earning several medals, including three Bronze Stars. The funeral home originally located at 317 Gabriel Street, later moved to its current location at 602 South Vine Street in Advance, Missouri.
