Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association, originally founded in 1931 as the Sunset Burial Association, is a member-owned cooperative funeral home deeply rooted in the communities of Echo and Wabasso, Minnesota. Born during the Great Depression, the organization was established by a group of southwest Minnesota residents with a simple yet powerful mission: neighbors helping neighbors through life’s most difficult times. This cooperative spirit and commitment to community service have remained the cornerstone of the association for over 90 years, adapting to changing customs while preserving the warmth and personal attention that have defined its heritage.

Operating from its location at 1036 Cedar Street in Wabasso, the funeral home also serves the Echo community from a second location.
