After graduation, Michael worked alongside his wife Mary at a family-owned funeral home in Minneapolis/Edina, where he managed their Edina chapel. In 2001, Michael returned to his hometown to purchase and operate the Thomas Ellis Funeral Home, which later became Wise Family Funeral & Cremation Services. Today, the business carries on a tradition of personalized, respectful care under the Wise family leadership.
