The Spengel family tradition continued through Raymond J. Spengel and later his son, Robert L. "Bob" Spengel, who joined in 1955. Meanwhile, Wilson J. Boulanger, a local graduate of mortuary science, founded Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland in 1941. In December 1958, the two families merged their operations to form Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home, combining generations of experience and a shared commitment to caregiving.
