Originally established as a family cemetery by Mr. and Mrs. Casselberry—who themselves are interred in the Garden of Prayer section—the park was donated to the Casselberry Baptist Church in the early 1960s. After the church found the upkeep challenging, the property was purchased by Richard O. Baldwin Jr. in the early 1980s, who had founded the first Baldwin Funeral Home in the Goldenrod area of Orlando in 1972.
