DellaVecchia Funerals & Cremations, located at 211 North Main Street in Southington, Connecticut, has been a cornerstone of compassionate care in the community for over seven decades. Founded in 1948 by Arthur C. DellaVecchia and his wife, Helen (Simone), the funeral home was built on the belief that families deserve both elite service and affordability. From its humble beginnings on Southington’s North Main Street, the business quickly earned the trust of local families. In 1967, the couple expanded by opening a second location on Woodtick Road in Wolcott, followed by a partnership with D’Angelo Funeral Home of Middletown in 1987. The family legacy deepened as Arthur and Helen’s son, David, became a licensed funeral director and joined the operation, and later their daughter, Adele, and her husband, Philip Fama, entered the business. After Arthur’s passing in 2004, David and Adele assumed leadership, continuing the tradition of personalized, dignified care.
