Calvary Cemetery and Mortuary (FD 1681) is one of the oldest and largest cemeteries in Los Angeles, located at 4201 Whittier Boulevard, just minutes from the heart of the city. The mortuary, an expansive 18,000-square-foot facility, provides a comforting and dignified setting for funeral services. It features three large visitation rooms, four private arrangement rooms, a visitors' lounge, and a flower shop, ensuring that families have ample space and resources to gather and remember. The Calvary Mausoleum is a highlight, adorned with beautiful stained glass and hand-painted ceilings, and it is here that daily Mass is celebrated, offering a sacred space for worship and prayer. Gate hours vary seasonally: spring/summer from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and fall/winter from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Calvary Mausoleum is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the Gethsemane Mausoleum from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

In addition to its daily Mass schedule (Monday through Friday at 9:00 AM in the Calvary Mausoleum Chapel, often in Spanish), the cemetery hosts annual outdoor community Masses on All Souls Day and Memorial Day at 10:00 AM. A monthly Memorial Mass is also offered on the second Tuesday of each month at the historic Mission San Fernando Rey de Espana, with special intentions for those recently served.
