Oakdale Mortuary & Oakdale Memorial Park

Oakdale Mortuary & Oakdale Memorial Park, located at 1401 South Grand Avenue in Glendora, California, has been a cornerstone of compassionate funeral, cremation, and cemetery services in the San Gabriel Valley for over 130 years. Officially incorporated on July 9, 1890, the cemetery’s roots trace back to 1886 when the community, responding to the growth brought by the Santa Fe Railroad, purchased 20 acres to establish what would become Oakdale Cemetery. Six families relocated their loved ones from the old Fairmount Cemetery to the new grounds. Expanded in 1925 onto a former orange grove, the cemetery adopted flat markers in 1929 to preserve a park-like appearance, and was renamed Oakdale Memorial Park in 1948. A crematory and funeral home were built on site in 1968, creating a single location for all arrangements.
