In the 1920s, a large mausoleum complex with 3,400 crypts and a 200-seat chapel was constructed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, and a crematory was added in the late 1920s (first cremation in 1932). The cemetery experienced ownership changes over the decades, including the Hepburn family, who managed it for many years, and later Grand View Partners and Marsha Lee Howard. In 2005, the cemetery was the focus of a scandal involving unburied cremated remains, but new owners took over in 2015, restoring the property and renaming it Grand View Memorial Park and Crematory.
