About

Pine Crest Funeral Home and Pine Crest Cemetery have been serving the Mobile, Alabama community since the early 1900s. The cemetery was founded by the Luce family and saw its first burial in 1906. For decades, the Luces owned and operated the cemetery before selling it in 1987. To meet growing community needs, Pine Crest Funeral Home opened on the cemetery property in March 1994. Today, both the funeral home and cemetery are proud members of the Dignity Memorial network of funeral, cremation, and cemetery service providers.

Located conveniently at 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, off Interstate 10 and adjacent to Brookley Air Force Base, Pine Crest serves families from Mobile as well as communities across the bay, including Spanish Fort, Daphne, and Fairhope. The funeral home offers a welcoming, comfortable space filled with natural light, soft colors, and modern amenities. The chapel can seat up to 150 guests and features a state-of-the-art audiovisual system with multiple television screens and CD/DVD capabilities. A large floor-to-ceiling window behind the altar provides a sunny backdrop for daytime services, and the chapel can also be used as a reception area. The funeral home includes two additional parlors for visitations or family gatherings: a larger parlor accommodating 25 to 30 guests (which can be divided into two smaller rooms) and a more intimate parlor for 15 to 20 guests. A separate building called Heritage House offers additional space for receptions and catered events, complete with a kitchen and capacity for up to 60 guests. Other amenities include a coffee lounge and ample parking.

Pine Crest provides a full range of services including traditional funerals, memorial services, and cremation options. The experienced team works one-on-one with families to create personalized tributes, from slideshows and themed decor to elaborate floral arrangements. The cemetery itself spans 150 acres of gently rolling hills, featuring large oak trees and tranquil waterways. Burial options include traditional in-ground burial, lawn crypts, bench estates, and more. The Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum offers above-ground entombment and cremation interment in glass-front and bronze-front niches, with additional granite-front niches outside. Tranquil Oaks provides a reflective space with a fountain and cremation benches, while Pine Road Estates offers private built-to-suit mausoleum entombment.
